Dennis Huspeni of the Denver Business Journal recent article on Denver real estate describes how million dollars homes sales have increased compared to last year’s.
The number of metro-Denver homes with a price tag of $1 million or higher that sold in August jumped dramatically from the same month a year earlier, according to a Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage report released Friday.
There were 73 luxury homes sold in the metro Denver area last month, a 38 percent surge over the 53 luxury homes sold in August 2011, the report states.
Coldwell culls its information from Multiple Listing Service data.
“The Denver metro area’s luxury market continued its summer rally in August with strong sales in many parts of our region,” Chris Mygatt, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Colorado, said in a statement. “Buyers continue to recognize that there are some very good values out there, and they’re taking advantage of the opportunity.”
